StoneHouse

3 guys and a mini van. For more than 5 years StoneHouse has been bringing their unique sound and energetic stage presence to festivals and venues all across Eastern Canada.

StoneHouse are a 3 piece original band hailing from Pictou County, Nova Scotia. The band consists of Mike McGrath on guitar and vocals, Pat Walsh on bass and vocals and Scott Sarty on drums.

For more than 5 years they have been bringing their unique sound and energetic stage presence to festivals and venues across Eastern Canada. In that time they’ve toured Eastern Canada 3 times and played festivals such as The New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee, Music Mountain, The Smokin’ Blues Fest, Forest Fest and Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour in Truro, NS. They’ve also had the honour of taking the stage at iconic Canadian venues such as The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, The Seahorse Tavern and Gus’ Pub in Halifax, NS. During this time they’ve had the pleasure of playing alongside Canadian icons such as Matt Mays and Myles Goodwin, as well as other popular bands like The Town Heroes and Slowcoaster.

StoneHouse has a unique sound the defies any particular genre. Scott, Mike and Pat have a rather diverse taste in music and take influence and inspiration from a broad range of musicians and styles. While their sound is unique, everyone will find something familiar and comforting in many of their songs. StoneHouse is predominately an original band, but there are always a few covers in the bag! Covers that you don’t hear often and always drop to great fanfare from the crowd.

“Built upon the tradition of great Pictou County rock bands, StoneHouse blends fresh, finely crafted songs, classic rock riffs, and a dance friendly groove. But it’s their blistering live show that trumps everything else. The future of our local music scene is in good hands with the likes of StoneHouse.”
